【Dual-use technology】
軍事用、民生用の両方に使用できる技術。欧州連合（European Union）の定義「民生用および軍事用に使用できるソフトウェア及び技術を含むアイテムであり、核兵器の製造または核爆発装置に関連する非爆発物の使用及びいかなる方法での支援に係るすべての物品を含むものとする。」（理事会規則による）[1] 。研究者による定義「現在または潜在的に軍事的および民間の両方に使用できる技術」[2] 。ほとんどの技術は両用技術である。
